She is helped by her admirer, Dmitri, who tricks her into staying at a nearby hotel. Pola manages to escape from the intrusive suitor and takes his money with her. Soon, the girl starts dreaming of a stage career and becomes a dancer in a Warsaw cabaret. She is spotted by Alexei, who falls in love with her at first sight, and the girl reciprocates his affection.
