The kid

‘The kid’ (1921), dir. by Ch. Chaplin, Time: 50 min. One of the most outstanding films by Chaplin the director and Chaplin the actor. A touching story of a poor glassmaker and his companion: a little boy - a tosser. Typical of Chaplin, it mixes comedy with tragedy, sentimentality with joy and a great number of humorous gags. Also not to be missed is the wonderful acting of little Jackie Coogan.
